‘Baba ljebu’ as fondly called was born in October 24, 1935. His parents were Alhaji Karimu Folarin Adebutu (aka “Owo-Iya”) and Alhaja Seliat Olasimbo Adebutu of iperu-Remo, in Ikenne Local Government, Ogun State. He completed his primary school in Ijero Baptist School, Apapa road, Ebute-Metta, Lagos State in 1950.
Sir K. Adeutu is the founder and Chairman of Premier Lotto Ltd. and the founder of Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu Foundation (KAAF).
His charitable contributions and services to humanity are countless. Among all of these contributions are Commissioning of classrooms and new prelate house at Remo Methodist Church and high school, lperu, donated by (KAAF). He has commissioned a multi-billion cultural centre in lle-lfe as Oodole Oodua. Papa Adebutu has built and donated several multi-million and billion Naira buildings across all geo-political zones of Yoruba land in Churches, Mosques, Schools, Hospitals and many more. No individual Yoruba son or daughter has given close to ‘Baba ljebu’. He has given millions of Naira to so many foundations, organizations and individuals by supporting their needs and humanitarian purposes. This man loves humanity with passion and does not know when to stop when it comes to philanthropic services.
KOOOF has realized that giving back shines a very long way and it has been the spotlight on his legacy of giving which is so much a part of the Adebutus DNA spirit. It is not gain saying if KOOOF should write that Dodondawa’s told and untold story can be beautifully captured in words and pictures as a giver of all times in the history of Yorubas and Nigerians at large. Papa ljebu is a strategist giver that knows no boundary in giving without fear in his gigantic projects and services to the less privileged in Yoruba communities and in the Diaspora.
